　　Title：Co-Creation Across the Value Chain to Foster Reverse Innovation

　　Abstract: Recent strategic management literature highlights the evolving phenomenon of reverse innovation. Here, products or services are developed and adopted first in emerging economies before being disseminated to developed economies. Using cross-country, executive level data, our study examines important antecedents and configurations of reverse innovation. Our results show that the dissemination of innovation from emerging to established economies is dependent on value chain co-creation practices, which originate in ambidextrous supply chain strategies. Given this dependence on external value chain partners, we integrate resource dependency theory to investigate substituting and complementary moderating effects of global knowledge acquisition on the formation and execution of value chain co-creation practices. Our findings derive from a multi-method approach, which comprises structural equation modeling and qualitative comparative analysis.
