　　We have developed a new descriptive theory of decision making under risk, called “risk-value theory,” which leads to decision making by explicitly trading off between risk and value. Based on the two-attribute expected utility axioms, this risk-value framework has much more flexibility in modeling preferences than the traditional single-attribute expected utility theory. Introducing a risk independence condition and other preference conditions, we propose several explicit forms of risk-value models, including generalized disappointment models, exponential risk-value models, and moments risk-value models. Based on the intuitively appealing idea of risk-value tradeoffs, these models provide new resolutions for observed risky choice behaviors and decision paradoxes. In particular, this development unifies two streams of research: one in developing preference models and the other in modeling risk judgments.

　　贾建民教授现任香港中文大学商学院市场学系教授和系主任、教育部“长江学者讲座教授”。贾教授在美国德克萨斯大学(奥斯汀)商学院获得博士学位, 他的研究兴趣包括大数据营销、社会网络、选择模型、行为决策等多个方面的，其论文发表在《Management Science》、《Marketing Science》、《Journal of Consumer Research》、《Operations Research》、《Psychological Science》等管理领域的国际权威学术期刊。他曾担任美国《Operations Research》杂志副主编，美国营销科学学会(MSI)学术董事、国家自然科学基金委管理科学部专家咨询委员会委员、西南交通大学经济管理学院院长等职；目前还担任全国MBA教育指导委员会委员，四川省人大常务委员会委员等职务。曾获“美国 INFORMS决策分析学会研究生论文竞赛最佳论文奖”、“美国INFORMS Franz Edelman Finalist Award”，并在多个重要国际会议上担任大会主席或分会主席。
