  • Another reason is that there was limited room for my further career development, My goal was to become the CFO in a giant company, but the opportunity was slim in Sony.
  • The last reason was that the job was not exactly what I liked most. In fact, I prefer a bit more challenging job, but my work in Sony was a little routine, and my interests and abilities could not be fully put into play.

  • Second, I take MBA because I want to have a career change. I started working as an engineer 5 years ago. I know how to develop new products, but I ‘am not very good at marketing these products and convert them into profits. That’s why I hope MBA would help me in this respect.

Of course, as well as satisfaction in my job, I would like to earn enough money to support a family. If I can do both those things I would be very happy.

How do you manage your time? In what way?

  • Good time management plays an important role both in work and in our life. I usually make a plan for the following week and prioritize my work on Sunday. Then I can do the job according to the schedule. What should be done firstly and what should be done secondly would be very clear in my mind. In that case, I could do my job more efficiently.
  • Generally speaking, I always manage my time well by setting up a plan. Plan can make me more organized. In the plan, I will arrange those difficult and complicated things in the time when I am most energetic, so that I can do the job more efficiently. If there is a change when I work, I will prioritize it and choose the most important one.

How do you deal with an emergency?

  • Things do not always go according to the plan. So we should always be well-prepared to meet any emergency. In my last job, one time we found that there were several problems in the project which we had to finish by the following morning. So in order to assure the quality, we worked overtime and finally finished it on time. So when meeting an emergency, being calm down is very important. And we should work out the solution to the emergency as soon as possible.
  • No matter in our daily life or in our work, we always meet some emergencies. At that time, we should calm down and deal with it positively and carefully. You know, when one is very nervous or angry, it is difficult to solve the problem. Besides, we should also deal with it as soon as possible. Because the longer the problem lasts, the more difficult and complicated the problem would be.

Describe a situation in which people disagreed with your ideas, and what did you do?/ What would you do if a colleague criticizes your work?

On one occasion, we had a meeting to discuss how to finish the project beforehand. I proposed one way. But some of my colleagues disagreed with me. I didn’t oppose them immediately, but to listen to their opinions. By comparison, I thought mine was better. So I explained to them by giving some examples. Finally, I persuaded them successfully. And our project was also finished ahead of schedule.

When you made a mistake in a project, what would you do?

  • If I made a mistake in a project, at first I would analyze the cause of the mistake, and then do anything I could to put the matter right or minimize the negative effects. I would not pass the buck or pretend it was not my fault.
  • If it was my fault, I would admit that without hesitation. And of course I would try my best to put the things right. After the project being done, I would also summarize the mistakes and discuss it with my colleagues to avoid the dame thing happening again.

I have always wanted to work for a large company as I feel that they offer the stability and the challenge that I am looking for. I am eager to try new aspects of working in a large company and want to develop my interpersonal skills so I can be as useful to you as possible. I realize that working within a large organization is not always easy.

A small firm gives the chance to build closer working relationship with clients and colleagues, and I’ve found through my past work experience that this makes an organization more effective as well as more satisfying to work in.

  • What was the most difficult problem you had to deal with?
